Saltillo International is the offspring of two very successful tile companies
which has served both Northern and Southern California for a combined 42 years.
Co-owner Charlotte MacIlraith has specialized in finishing and refurbishing Mexican
pavers, especially saltillo, for most of her career. Charlotte's success has been
the result of her persistence to educate clients on how to maintain Mexican pavers
and keep them as beautiful as the day they were installed.
Charlotte
has since developed her own line of maintenance and cleaning products called Charlotte™
Products. Out of this line was born a stain for saltillo tiles. Never before has
any company successfully stained Mexican pavers to colors other than the same
old 'white wash' or 'brown'.
Charlotte, together with her partnered tile importing company, conceived Custom
Saltillo International (CSI). CSI works very closely with several factories in
Mexico to maintain the perfect consistency needed to achieve the resulting magnificent
product. Custom Saltillo International is producing eight standard colors of Saltillo
Tiles along with their custom-stained Saltillo Tiles which can be colour-matched
to any specified color to match any decor... opening many new doors of design
capabilities. CSI incorporates its colour-match process in all typical saltillo
shapes and sizes.
Charlotte's very first customer was a proud new owner of a custom painted Jaguar...
midnight blue. After all was said and done, the midnight blue Jaguar was parked
at home amongst midnight blue saltillo tiles which complimented both the automobile
and the Spanish estate beautifully.
